About the company.
We are a small but growing company, dedicated to meeting the career and college needs of those ready for the next step in their professional and/or academic lives. Born out of a love for Career and College Counseling, Valerie formed Higher & Hire to specifically cater to those requiring assistance in all areas of the college planning, college application, resume writing (both standard and federal), and hiring processes.
We are known for assisting career changers shift into a new field and young professionals who are ready to start their academic or professional career.
About me.
I have over 15 years of experience working in the Career Counseling field and have held a wide range of positions within this domain that allow me to serve my clients with superior knowledge and expertise while providing a very personal touch, which is the hallmark of my counseling philosophy. The positions which have provided this expertise include 5 years as a High School Counselor (including 3 years as the director of a high school counseling program), 4 years as a Senior Assistant Director of Admissions, 2 years as a Career Counselor and 3.5 years as an adjunct faculty member in higher education. There has never been a doubt in my mind that College & Career Counseling were my calling. I strive to provide you with the most personalized service to exceed your needs and expectations in all matters related to College and Career Counseling.
